L&C Gas Services – Terms of Service
1. Introduction These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the provision of services by L&C Gas Services ("Company", "we", "our", or "us") to our customers ("Customer", "you"). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Scope of Services L&C Gas Services provides gas engineering services including but not limited to: installation, repair, servicing, maintenance, and safety checks. All services are subject to availability and confirmation following a formal estimate or quote.
3. Estimates and Quotes 3.1. Any price provided prior to inspection is an estimate only and may vary once an engineer assesses the work onsite. 3.2. Final quotes are valid for 14 days and subject to change if conditions differ upon arrival.
4. Access and Missed Appointments 4.1. Customers must ensure clear and safe access to the property and equipment. 4.2. A "No Access" fee of £40 (including VAT) will be charged for missed appointments, failure to provide access, or if the issue lies outside the scope of the requested work.
5. Payment Terms 5.1. Payment is due immediately upon completion of works, unless otherwise agreed in writing. 5.2. Invoices not settled within 48 hours may incur a late payment fee and further interest of 8% per day We reserve the right to withhold certification or further service until payment is received in full.
6. Cancellation Policy 6.1. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will incur a cancellation fee of £93. 6.2. Deposits for installation or major works are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or work has commenced.
7. Liability 7.1. We accept no liability for pre-existing faults, poor installation by third parties, or customer-supplied materials. 7.2. Our liability is limited to the value of the service provided, except in cases of personal injury or death caused by our negligence.
8. Warranty 8.1. We offer a 12-month workmanship warranty on services we provide, excluding issues arising from misuse, lack of maintenance, or third-party interference. 8.2. Manufacturer warranties apply to new equipment installed and are subject to the manufacturer’s terms.
9. Complaints and Dispute Resolution 9.1. All complaints must be submitted in writing within 5 working days of the service. 9.2. We aim to resolve complaints fairly and within 14 working days. 9.3. If a resolution cannot be reached, we may refer the matter to an independent third-party mediator.
10. Force Majeure We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to extreme weather, strikes, pandemics, or supplier delays.
11. Use of Images and Documentation 11.1. We may request photos or documentation to support our estimates. These help reduce uncertainty but do not guarantee fixed pricing. 11.2. All work remains speculative until verified onsite by a qualified engineer.
12. General Provisions 12.1. These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Scotland. 12.2. By proceeding with our services, you acknowledge you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. 12.3. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time.
